Monkey Picked Oolong Tea
Not In Stock From £7.00
Legend has it that Buddhist Monks trained monkeys to hand pick leaves from the very top of the wild tea trees. Our Oolong is still hand picked, but we can assure you no monkeys are involved in the process!
Oolong, meaning ‘black dragon’ falls between a green and a black tea on the oxidation scale. Its unbroken leaves unfurl during brewing to give a complex yet light orchid aroma with a fruity flavour and sweet lingering finish.
PREPARATION
Place 3g (1tsp) of tea per person in a pot or cup infuser. Using boiling water to steep oolong tea can damage the leaves, so instead use water that is around 90°c (boiling water that has been allowed to cool for 1 minute). Brew for 2 - 4 minutes according to taste. The same leaves can be re-used for up to 3 infusions.
